I was so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Sekia Jackson and On This Day Events to bring my medical school graduation party to life. Mrs. Jackson was extremely professional and provided quality customer service. She went above and beyond the call of duty. It’s because of Mrs. Jackson and On This Day Events that my graduation party was successful and memorable. From the time I reached out to her, she worked tirelessly to help my vision become a reality. I was worried trying to host a gathering during a pandemic, but everything went smoothly from start to finish. I knew I wanted to a have a graduation party on a rooftop to ease people’s worries about attending an event in a pandemic. Mrs. Jackson was very knowledgeable about the various rooftop locations in Philadelphia and reached out to them on my behalf and then put a presentation together for me with the advantages and disadvantages of each location. At every step of the way she asked my opinions on the décor and made suggestions that she thought would be best based on her professional expertise. She had so many connections with various vendors for anything and everything that I needed for my party that allowed me to not have to try and find these people by myself. Even on the day of my actual event, I was amazed at how much she handled for me behind the scenes to make sure my graduation party went on without a hitch. There were plenty of things that my venue messed up, decorations that they broke, but I knew nothing about it until after the party was over. Mrs. Jackson was even very instrumental after the party to make sure I got a refund for decorations that were broken and that people who happened to get their cars towed were reimbursed. Mrs. Jackson and On This Day, Events literally saved the day! I have received wonderful feedback from my family and friends in attendance, as well as people on social media on how lovely, professional, and creative the decorations were around the rooftop lounge. Most importantly, Mrs. Jackson and On This Day, Events made me feel like the most important person in the room that night and made sure that it would be an event that I would remember for a lifetime! Sekia saved this event for me, as it was coming down to a few weeks before the date, and my family and I were dealing with a lot those months before my nephew's arrival. But it was really important to me to throw an elegant and exceptional baby shower for my sister to welcome her first child with family and friends.
Sekia handled everything for me, as I had no time to plan and execute everything myself. She found and worked with vendors on her own, demanding the best while collaborating with me on every detail.
Sekia was so pleasant and easy to work with. She was very organized and professional, genuinely listening to what I wanted it to be like for my sister, using my budget concerns and offering excellent ideas, tips and stylish options to build a stunning display to wow the Mom-to-be.
She single-handedly transformed a very bare and bland room into a sparkling Teddy Bear themed Baby Shower, complete with the spectacular Mommy Throne and dazzling display table of decor and delectable delights, just like we wanted. Not to mention, setting up the sound and preparing the music to compliment our event. I will always recommend Sekia as the only planner you need to plan an event right.

Saturday, December 21, 2019 my Mom surprised me with a party that was not just a party but a Major Event! My Mom is not a party planner, so how did she pull that off!? She used On This Day event planner Sekia Jackson and I can tell you it made all the difference. This was no party. It was an extravaganza! I understand that Sekia helped my Mom pick everything including the venue, helped her organize the various activities of the evening; and she designed the most elegant and festive setting. In October 2019, I attended one of the cutest baby showers I've ever seen! The venue was decorated so nicely and the attention to detail was not missed. The mom-to-be was welcomed like a queen and as a guest, I felt honored to be there. The event planner was Hands-On with making sure guests and the mom-to-be had everything they needed during the afternoon. They even helped take gifts out of the venue at the end of the day. All we had to do as guests was to sit back and enjoy welcoming a new bundle of joy into the world. I will definitely look to use OTD Events for any party planning needs in the future.
